How Coaching Will Help

Dr. Tim is a certified, seasoned, experienced and results-oriented professional coach. He has a long track record of coaching people to achieve things they could not have done on their own.

Dr. Tim’s coaching approach is different. It builds on his research and his expertise in maximizing human performance.

People need to be understood in terms of their larger environment. Human performance is much more dependent on factors that are outside the individual (inside factors statistically only contribute only about 7% compared with environmental factors contributing 93%). People can learn to focus more on structuring their environment so they are better supported in reaching their goals. Where psychotherapy focuses on helping individuals manage themselves, coaching adds the focus of helping clients navigate their environment in ways that can make it easier to manage themselves.

If there is a trick to helping clients be successful time after time (and I don’t believe in tricks), it is by moving the focus beyond the 7% individual factors to the larger context of 93% external factors. This requires a professional coach versed not just in individual development, but also in team and organizational development.

Dr. Tim’s work has been especially effective with people other coaches might find challenging, such as professionals with advanced degrees and high-powered executives (physicians, surgeons, salespeople, attorneys, executives, and scientists). But what works for them also has been proven to work in his volunteer work with disadvantaged teens and young adults.

It’s time to give up the notion that only the rich and famous deserve coaches. Everyone can benefit a great deal from engaging a professional coach.

Everyone told me he would be so difficult to work with, but my experience has been exactly the opposite.
